Fees and the As-Described Guarantee
Nothing until it sells
Listing, AI identification, condition grading and the estimate are free. Fees are charged only when a machine sells, and both fees are paid at closing.
Seller fee
| $0 and up | 10.0% of the sale price |
|---|---|
| $25,000 and up | 8.0% of the sale price |
| $100,000 and up | 6.0% of the sale price |
| $250,000 and up | 5.0% of the sale price |
Repeat sellers earn a lower rate: 1 point off after 3 closed deals; 2 points off after 10 closed deals.
Buyer fee
1.5% of the sale price, capped at $1,500.
Trades
On a machine-for-machine trade, fees are calculated on the cash value of the deal: the estimated value of the machine given plus any cash difference.
As-Described Guarantee
Every listing carries a graded condition report. When the buyer confirms delivery, a 48-hour inspection window opens. If the machine doesn't match the report, the buyer opens a claim with GME, the funds are held, and GME arbitrates: a price adjustment, a return at the seller's cost, or the sale stands. Sellers who misrepresent a machine lose their seller tier.
GME Protection
Optional extended coverage the buyer can add before committing, underwritten by partner program (to be named). Priced on the deal price, adjusted for the machine's age, hours and condition grade. Machines over 10 years, over the hour cap for their category, or graded below 3 are not eligible.
